To attend the pre-fall 2023 Dior fashion show on the Indian west coast, model Lætitia Casta opted for a white lace dress, revealing her shoulders.
It is under the monument of the Gate of India, enthroned in the largest city in the country, that Maria Grazia Chiuri presented, Thursday, March 30, her seventh collection Pre-Fall at Dior. A grandiose setting, which was in line with the spectacular fashion shows of the brand and recalled the parade last year in front of the Pantheon of Athens, or the 2020 in front of the El Badi Palace in Marrakech. The front row was full of faithful: next to the Bollywood stars were installed personalities close to the brand, like Camille Cottin, Mathilde Warnier, Cara Delevingne, Beatrice Borromeo Casiraghi and Lætitia Casta, who made a sensation.
The 44-year-old icon with multiple hats wore for the occasion a long white lace dress, coming to a few centimeters from the ground. Her shoulders were revealed by a bardot collar and her waist highlighted by a thick black leather belt with a silver clasp. Puffing, the sleeves reached him to the elbow. A silhouette completed by a pair of black pumps, a natural makeup and hair relaxed, slightly brushed. The flounces of her skirt were particularly interesting: starting at the knee, they delicately revealed the thighs of the actress, and structured the silhouette.
If transparency is often invited in the Frenchwoman's outfits, notably at the Dior charity dinner in Venice or even, ahead of her time, at the 2010 Césars ceremony, Lætitia Casta often opts for more strict looks. Here she wears a bohemian look that takes her away from her habits, but reminds the silhouettes of the Haute Couture Fall Winter 2022 and Spring Summer 2023 fashion shows.
At the microphone of the Italian media MF Fashion, Lætitia Casta did not fail to compliment the artistic director of the house of Dior, which regularly dresses her: "Maria Grazia does a fantastic job. Especially for women (...) in India, sharing the craftsmanship is really a great thing." Here she talks about the collaboration between the designer and Karishma Swali, director of the Chanakya School of Craft in Mumbai, with whom Maria Grazia Chiuri works and is friends. Hope to see Lætitia Casta soon walk the red carpet in one of the creations of this Indian catwalk.
