The XXL Hair Trend Takes Celebrities Looks And Runways By Storm

The pandemic-era and all the lockdowns left us with no hairdresser visits, so it was the right time to embrace and take care of our hair, while it was growing longer. This led to the XXL hair trend that we saw on both the red carpets and on the runways.

To begin with, the Met Gala, which featured extravagant outfits, also featured XXL long hair. Lourdes Leon and Cara Delevigne were among the stars who were spotted with long hair. Actress Anya Taylor Joy and the model Barbara Palvin also joined the XXL hair club while at the Venice Film Festival’s red carpet.

On The Runways

Versace’s SS22 runway proved that XXL locks are the it-trend of the season since the house opted for te long hair for all his models. Dua Lipa, Gigi Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski have thus taken a head start for next season, thanks to extensions.

The top models left their hair naturally flirting all over or in a half-pony while Kim Kardashian opted for a nearly 2 meters’ ponytail at the Met Gala

Barbara Palvin also opted for a long braid, in the same spirit as Demi Moore who caused a fuss with this option during Paris Fashion Week in February 2020. Others like Dakota Johnson, Adriana Lima or Sara Sampaio went for the wavy effect for a very glamorous effect.

In The Daily Life

Well, if celebrities are taking XXL hair to another level with their extremely long extensions, you can still opt for the trend but in a decreased length, chest length for example. this is what Damien Boissinot, Hair Stylist René Furterer advised us in September 2020: “It's very elegant when the breasts are hidden. The longer the hair will get , the more complicated will be to maintain, and it may not look as good".
