For a few weeks now, this accordion-shaped crunchy potato recipe has been sweeping through social media, especially Tik Tok, with already millions of views. These potatoes are the new TikTok craze, and for good reason! When baked, it has a crunchy outer layer flavored with delicious garlic butter and fresh herbs. It is much easier to make than it looks. Try it yourself with this step-by-step recipe.
Ingredients
4 large potatoes
Butter mixture with garlic
Medium sized skewers
Suggested spices
Rosemary
Spice blends
Coarse salt
Black spice
Cayenne pepper
Paprika
How to prepare
Clean and peel the potatoes, then cut lengthwise. Lay the potatoes horizontally. Put the skewer on both sides of the potatoes. Use skewers as the base so you don't cut the whole potato and cut it vertical stripes. Keep the lines close together until you create an accordion shape.
Using a brush, brush the potatoes with the butter, garlic and spices mixture. Put the skewers into the hot oven and bake for 40 minutes.
