Caramel Cake with Chocolate Ganache

Ingredients
Chocolate cake
2 cups of flour
1 cup of sugar
½ cup of cocoa
2 tablespoons of baking soda
1 tablespoon of salt
1 cup of milk
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
2 big eggs
1 cup of vegetable oil
1 tablespoon of vanilla
1 cup of hot water
Caramel sauce
1 cup of sugar
100 g of chopped butter, at room temperature
¾ cup of whipping cream, at room temperature
4 cups of powdered sugar
3 tablespoons of milk
Chocolate Ganache
½ cup of dark chocolate chips
¾ cup of whipping cream
How to prepare
Mix the cake ingredients well.
Mix milk with lemon juice and set aside for 10 minutes.
Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla and mix.
Gradually, add water and beat until the mixture becomes smooth.
Divide the mixture into 3 sections; each section is placed in a cake tray in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. Set aside to cool down completely.
To prepare the caramel sauce, put the sugar in a pan over the heat and stir until it melts and becomes dark.
Remove the sugar from the heat, then add the butter with cream and stir until the mixture becomes homogeneous. Add powdered sugar and milk while whisking, wait until the mixture becomes smooth. Add some milk, if needed.
To prepare the chocolate ganache, put the cream in microwave for 1 minute, then pour it over the chocolate chips then stir well until the chocolate melts.
The top layer of cake trays is removed. The first layer is placed on the presentation plate then covered with caramel sauce. Repeat the same order with the second and third layers.
Finally, chocolate ganache is poured over cake. Decorate it with walnuts before serving.
