American label Tommy Hilfiger has launched a new charitable campaign, perhaps an extension of the label’s international campaign for Fall 2020 that urges people to wear trends that “waste nothing and welcome all”.
In the details, Tommy Hilfiger asked 24 inspiring influencers around the world to help create unique items from leftover fabric, and of course the US-Somali influencer and women’s and human rights pioneer Halima Aden is on the list. Another inspiring Middle Eastern woman also participating in the initiative is travel vlogger Haifa Beseisso.
Get a look at their custom-designed shirts and we’re sure you’ll be part of this initiative too.
Aden’s t-shirt came in blue, red and white with the Tommy Hilfiger labe; in the center. We spotted “Waste Nothing and Welcome All” on the back of the 100% cotton shirt.
The Dubai-based blogger, Haifa, custom designed her T-shirt also in blue, white and red. The t-shirt is divided diagonally into a blue space and another white space. “Love” in capital red on the front and “Queen” in capital letters on the back gave the shirt its uniqueness. On the back, we spotted the sentence she chose “The more you love, the more you queen”.
T-shirts are being auctioned on the online marketplace, Catawiki, to raise money for the Water Stewardship program by the World Wild Life for Nature (WWF), an international non-governmental organization founded in 1961 that works in the field of wilderness preservation and the reduction of human impact on the environment. The auction is going live for 10 days.
