The first episode of The Voice Senior competition program kicked off yesterday, featuring judges Najwa Karam, Samira Said, Melhem Zain and Hani Shaker, competing to gather the most beautiful voices in their teams.
In addition to the singing competition, we witnessed some major fashion moments yesterday in both Samira Said’s and Najwa Karam’s looks. All stars were styled by Lebanese stylist Cedric Haddad, one of the most renowned stylists in the Middle East. Cedric shared with us the secrets behind the stars’ looks.
The First Looks
Celebrity Stylist and fashion consultant Cedric Haddad pointed out that the ambiance of the show opening centered on Hollywood golden age. "In this regards, I went for black for men and gold for women, so I chose a LaBourjoisie embroidered golden couture dress for Najwa Karam because it reflects her personality perfectly." And he confirmed that he chose "a dress that is simple yet luxurious. The hair was cut short for a more contemporary look." As for Samira Saeed’s outfit, "I chose a sequined jumpsuit from Parosh that enhances Samira's youthful and modern spirit, instead of a classic gown."
The Second Looks
For Najwa Karam’s performance at the opening, Cedric opted for a black velvet dress from Balmain embellished with pearls at the top: "velvet is perfect for autumn, and since Najwa was to remain seated, the focus on the upper part of the dress was necessary." Cedric also drew our attention to Najwa’s haircut, which added a sexy touch to the classic look.
He went for a red Gucci dress for Samira Said, embellished with touches of leopard print on the collar and the pockets.
Cedric says that "she wanted a look that would be different from her casual looks at the auditions, so we turned to the classic dress mixed with modernity.”
The Third Looks
The stars previously appeared in white dresses; Samira Saeed wore a Self-Portrait gorgeous white dress, while Najwa Karam flaunted a Toni Maticevski long white gown, both selected for them by Cedric Haddad. “I wanted to highlight Samira’s cheerful, spontaneous and fun-loving personality and Najwa’s elegant and glamorous personality in these looks.”
We can't wait till next Wednesday to watch The Voice Senior at 8:30 pm on MBC!
