Kylie Jenner is no longer "The Youngest Self-Made Billionaire Ever”, according to Forbes, who accused the beauty mogul of lying and faking her wealth.
Forbes' experts reported this week that Kylie and her mother Kris Jenner, inflated their wealth in documents which they provided to the publication about Jenner's personal wealth and her company's revenue, in order to keep her within the list of billionaires.
The US magazine accused Kylie of providing her with "possibly fraudulent" tax returns. Jenner sold 51% of her stake in Kylie Cosmetics to beauty giant Coty in a deal valued at $1.2 billion.
Forbes said that the Jenners had previously told that Kylie Jenner's cosmetic sales had $ 360 million in 2018, but Coty's offer showed that revenue was actually closer to $125 million that year.
Her fortune is likely to be just under $ 900 million, according to Forbes estimates.
However, Kylie went to Twitter to decline Forbes’ accusation, she tweeted: “I thought this was a prestigious site ... All I see is a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol. I've never asked for any nickname or tried to be on my way there at all.”
“but okay. I am blessed beyond my years, I have a beautiful daughter, and a successful business and I’m doing perfectly fine.”
“ I can name a list of 100 things more important right now than fixating on how much money I have,” she added.
