5 Companies supporting Beirut disaster relief

Two weeks after the massive blast, devastated Beirut is trying to fix its wounds through humanitarian aids provided by charities, celebrities, such as of Amal Clooney and The Weeknd, and through different fundraising campaigns launched for Beirut disaster relief.
Some fashion brands have contributed by donating their proceeds to associations working on the ground and providing relief for people who were affected by the blast, also some companies have donated to Lebanese NGOs.
Here are 5 companies which stood in solidarity with Beirut.
After the huge blast at Beirut’s port, the multinational technology company announced that it will be donating $2.2 million to Lebanese NGOs providing essential services on the ground such as medical relief, shelter, and food.
Also, Google will be helping local Lebanese businesses and entrepreneurs by funding Youth Business International (YBI), a global entrepreneur support network.
Facebook MENA stood in solidarity with people of Lebanon, and announced that it will donate more than $2.1 million for relief and recovery efforts. This includes $1 million in match funding towards a Facebook fundraiser.
Carrefour
Carrefour is encouraging its customers to help those affected by Beirut blast, giving them the opportunity to donate their accumulated share rewards points via the Carrefour app, that will be redeemed as funds transferred to Emirates Red Crescent.
Deliveroo
Also, Deliveroo invited their customers to contribute in Beirut relief by purchasing any of the available donation bundles. For every donation, Deliveroo will match it to double the support and provide relief to those affected by the blast.
Talabat
Food delivery aggregator Talabat has launched #LunchforLebanon to help customers donate while ordering their favorite meals through the app. The result is 130,000 euros (AED567,000) donated to people of Lebanon through the Red Crescent to aid relief efforts following the explosion at Beirut port.
